Roadfly.com – 2011 Audi A8 Road Test & Review

Audi redesigned their top of the line sport sedan for 2011. The new Audi A8 has redesigned sheet metal and a more pronounced fascia on the outside and the interior is decidedly Audi – upscale and modern. Once you’re behind the wheel of this stunning uber-sedan and you’re already enjoying some of the best driving dynamics in the world you’ll be ready to enjoy the super-modern interior and amenities. Super cool lighting treatments are one of the first things you’ll notice about the Audi’s interior. The 2011 Audi A8 is most often compared to the Mercedes-Benz S550 and the BMW 7 Series variants. They each offer their own take on the European sport sedan. The big differentiator is probably the price in the case of the Audi. The Audi comes standard with all-wheel-drive and for the piece of mind and safety that AWD adds choosing amongst the three competitors is more difficult than ever. Vehicle: 2011 Audi A8 Engine: 4.2 liter, 8 cylinder, direct injection Transmission: 8 speed automatic Horsepower: 372 hp and 328 lb-ft of torque 0-60 MPH: 5.5 seconds MPG: 17 city / 27 highway Host: Ross Rapoport Roadfly.com – www.roadfly.com Car Forum – http RoadflyTV – www.youtube.com Facebook – www.facebook.com Twitter – twitter.com IMDB – www.imdb.com

What gay kind of glove is he wearing @ 2:30 ??
@HOOPCITYDETECTIVE They were able to get more performance out of the V6T in the S4 though.
MMI is not just the touch pad. MMI had been in audis for quite some time. you make it sound like this is something new. the trackpad is yes, but not MMI. dont confuse the viewers
Mercedes Benz and BMW take note: You don’t need turbochargers or 6 cylinders to get better fuel economy. Then again, Audi is jumping on the band wagon with forced induction too…. Bye bye high rev V8s….
Btw the A8 is one hell of a car.
nice review. thank you!
just love a8s
I’m amazed that the largest of Audi sedans w/ a V8 gets 27 Hwy MPG’s! With that being the case, I wish they would have kept the V8 in the S4 since it’s current configuration gets only 1 mpg more w/ a 6 cyl. Not to mention it would be even better if they would bring back the RS4 with the current updates that would offer improved fuel economy.
Another intelligent critique. Lots of good info on this car. Nice presentation!
@rapoportsi AWESOME internet tuff guy!!! dude yours cool!! please teach me how to be like you!
@Niche79 yeah that blonde girl is a skank. hopefully will make more reviews soon
@skylineracr I test drive audis while you stand in the welfare line.
@rapoportsi AHAHAHH bro wtf? did i say something to hurt your feelings? jeez lol i drive a 350z but if you wanna act tuff on the internet than more power to you but FYI it doesnt make you sound any cooler
@skylineracr fuck you fag. i am a mod on hondatech and drive an Si what do you drive you prepubescent pussy? fuck off you asshole.
Honestly speaking, 0-60 in 5.7 sec in fast enough for this car and price since it’s a luxury car. If you want faster acceleration then why not buy a supercar!
One good thing I can say about this car is that I would get this over a S550.
BMW has BMW ASSIST which is a SOS button in the vehicle for roadside assistance, automatic collission notification, door unlock, stolen vehicle recovery, concierge Free for years. Audi does not offer.
BMW is awarded KBB 2010 Luxury Resale Value Award.
Audi has the worst resale value of German brands. To prove it call your local Audi dealer and ask them wha the residual value is on a few models and compare it to a BMW and the BMW beats them by alot this is why BMW has better lease programs.
You can lease a 2011 750lix for 1200 with 0 down and full free maintainance for month of february.
2012 7 series can be ordered now starting March and I will be placing my order once pricing is released next month.
The 750lix all wheel drive standard with run flat tires.
750lix has 400hp and 450 lbs of torque much faster then Audi.
Audi again falls short. BMW 750lix all wheel drive has 00HP 450LBS or torque Twin Turbo 4.4 litre engine 0-60 in 5 seconds. Also BMW has full free maintainance as a standard USA warranty for 4 years 50,000 miles and Audi does not have this at all. Also the 750 has a class leading 80GB hard drive system compared to Audi 40GB. The BMW IDRIVE is the most intuitive and its the first brand to offer this type of computor. King of its class.
why doesnt Audi have different front stylying for their vehicles? hard to tell the difference no separation betweed models. Well what elso can you say its a VW.
I want to lick this car…
@escada600 The Nissan GTR isn’t really a “Sports Car” It’s a road legal race car. The brakes it has. Specially made oil specifically for the car. Bridgestone one off tyres that cost 5k all up for 4 tyres. It’s a great car but it’s not a sports car.
Ive had people complain about noisy breaks but what can you expect from floating rotors. This car has great performance.
@icefox1983 but it is unbroken not like yours ass hole,
@masterpatric07 sorry but your ass is actually worthless
lovely benaughty women “benaughtyman.info”
That dude can drive!
super car my ass.konnigsegg, veyron, ferrari enzo,carrera gt, that is what i call a super car.not a serial car.
super car my ass.
marry me gan san!!!
@ricebag
I have to agree with you there… I don’t really know why people praise Jeremy Clarkson and his crew.
@nitrotrigger i agree mate have you seen the r32 gtrs? r33 gtrs and r34 they look fucking tough compared to this but also have crazy air drag thanks to there blocky sedan based bodys, but the reason this is so ugly is its extreamly aerodynamic i think its in the high 20s!!!! my streamlined 80s supras are in the low 30s and they are about as sleek as cars get, the car was built for performance with no regaurd on looks i spose…..still id take a r32 with an rb26/30 anyday
@EnnesX i agree mate id take an r32 gtr any day …sure it still has computer controled split 4wd but it was far more animalistic and basic and you could tune the engines to over 1000hp not to mention they look far tougher then this renualt influenced crap
@escada600
If i had the money i would buy one too hehe, best value for your money.
also Japanese cars just try harder to be good then European cars (Where im from) because people “expect” European cars to be great without having to prove themselves means that now Japanese cars (in my opinion) are way better value and more trustworthy.
But i would buy the Toyota HS over this probably
but im just a Toyota fan hehe
11:03 he just wants to drive the car more ;D
@EnnesX
you can turn off the VCD.
There are a lot of “standard” drivers who can afford these fast cars, and there’s nothing wrong with that. And these safety features are there to ‘help prevent’ shit hits the fan situation. Nobody expects less from the GT-R, but a car at this caliber can kill the driver and others in the wrong hands. There’s really nothing wrong to put life saving technology in the car because car companies have no control of the buyers, but at least you can turn it off.
I cant see the full video! =(
The new GT-R represents everything wrong with the newest sports cars. Companies have focused too much on bringing more and more performance into the hands of less and less skilled drivers. They have completely forgotten the connection between car and skilled driver, and the experience of actually having control of the car at the limit in your hands and feet.
The chief engineer even told Gan San in this video some electronic variables were programmed for the “standard driver”. GT-R is 4 noob
i like the gtr but with all the technology it has is great but the weight isnt that great, dont get me wrong. this thing pulls.
@ricebag
Amazing & fast car
any person test Nissan GT-R 35 car, can not do without ever
I have NISSAN GTR 2009 car – Sports car
easily compete with other SPORT cars – Modern technology & technical characteristic, smooth balanced in the corners of highways
that’s why the top places in races ..
I LOVE NISSAN GTR car.
@Turbinieris This was a production model, however they wont be “correcting” the understeer problem. The problem was likely the inordinately narrow 255 width front tires and the fact the track was very cold and damp. You can see the understeer through the chicane on the in car footage, but I cant see if he drove through a puddle. Tight chicanes are particularly cruel to heavy cars like the GTR, there’s no way around it.
There’s only two faults in this car: it sounds crap and looks crap, two of the most important characteristics where a supercar should do well.
lol i thought it was rotating at 1:04 it was just backing up hahaha
The latest motor trend said the seats in the GTR are not comfortable and caused them much lower back pain after three hours of driving. However I still love the car and would not mind putting 7,000.00 in nice front buckets. I like the stock seats and do not believe in MT
top gear sucks because those guys are not professional drivers jeremy richard and may all idiots.but these guys are professional and proper drivers.
and i bet nissan just gave him one because he used to race skylines
